The sudden death of Carrie Fisher, the legendary Princess Leia of Star Wars, was a surprise to everyone, especially to Disney and Lucasfilm that are responsible for creating the movie franchise. They probably don’t even have a contingency plan for emergencies like this. We told you recently about the possibility of Episode VII to be edit out Princess Leia’s scenes and Episode IX to be re-written completely. And now, new information has it that the role of General Organa in the future could be written off, too.
According to THR, the leader of the Rebel Alliance would carry out two great moments in the next installment of Star Wars. We’re talking about the meeting between Luke Skywalker and Leia and a confrontation with her son and murderer of Han Solo, Kylo Ren.
THR said that Colin Trevorrow, director of Episode VIII, is in talks with Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, about what will happen to Fisher’s character after her unexpected death. The new Star Wars movie will be released on December 15, 2017.
